Trust center

Trust starts with clear limits.

This page sets out the place of the adult, the limits of AtyKids, what happens to your data, when a source is used, and who to contact if the service fails you.

  • Non-medical
  • The adult decides
  • Designed for the adult who supports the child
  • Human customer support

The principle

AtyKids suggests. You decide.

AtyKids can suggest options, help organize a situation, rephrase an instruction, search and explain where the capability provides for it, and create certain supports.

What it never does is decide for you. You know the situation; you choose what to keep, what to adapt and what to set aside.

Deciding is not replacing

“The adult decides” does not mean a parent replaces the professional. When a situation calls for specific expertise, AtyKids can help you understand it, prepare for it and look for local support (that is what ATLAS is for), but it does not replace that expertise.

A safety check before every answer

Every request is classified by a safety check before an assistant or an Expert answers. Without a valid classification the turn is blocked: a failure of the check never lets an answer through. The answer produced is then re-validated against its contract, and one that does not meet it is not shown.

That check covers the request, then the compliance of the answer. It does not re-read the meaning of every sentence produced, and it does not replace your own reading.

Scope

AtyKids is not a medical device.

This limit does not depend on the capability used, or on the plan. The Experts do not move it.

  • No diagnosis, no screening, no risk score.
  • No clinical test, no psychometric assessment.
  • No medical opinion, no therapeutic advice, no care plan.
  • No replacement for a healthcare professional.
  • “Rights & procedures” deals with administration, never with medicine; “Home education & learning” starts from what you observe and never concludes that a disorder is present.

Child protection

AtyKids is built for the adult who supports a child.

The Assistants and the Experts are designed for the adult who supports the child. They are not designed to be used by a child alone. The adult describes the situation, reads the answer and decides what to do with it.

This rule is about the conversational exchanges. A printed support, a prepared routine or a free Resource tool can of course be used with a child, alongside an adult: that is exactly what they are for.

Piece by piece

Every capability has its limit, and it is written down.

A general disclaimer reassures nobody. Here is the limit of each part of AtyKids, with the page that details it.

Sources

A source is used when the information has to be documented.

Not every AtyKids answer carries a source, and claiming otherwise would be false. Documented public content (the Glossary, the Guides, the ATLAS directory) states, where it applies, the source it relies on, the territory concerned and the date it was last checked.

A conversation depends on the question. An administrative procedure calls for official sources; a teaching adaptation calls for none and should not keep you waiting. The capability sets the contract, not a blanket promise.

The source remains the document or the institution.

When AtyKids cites an institution, a text or a publication, the source remains that institution, that text or that publication. AtyKids helps you find it, organize it and understand it; a conversational answer never cites itself and never replaces the document.

An answer can be imperfect.

A response can be imperfect, misread a situation or miss the one detail that changes everything. That is not a stylistic caveat, it is how to use it:

  • Check anything binding: a date, an amount, a deadline, an obligation.
  • Open the source when one is offered, rather than trusting the summary.
  • Involve a professional when the situation calls for one.

Want to know how the content is documented, and which sources are used depending on the subject? Method & references.

Territory

Territorial context matters.

A rule stated for the wrong place is not an approximation: it is a false rule. France, the United States, Canada and Costa Rica are not interchangeable.

The language you write in says nothing about where you live: a French-speaking family may live in France, in Québec or somewhere else entirely. AtyKids does not assume your jurisdiction, it asks for it.

And the country is not always the right level. In the United States the rule may be the state's; in Canada, the province's or the territory's. An answer that holds for one province does not hold for the whole country.

We claim no universal coverage.

Your data

What we do with your data, and what we do not.

  • Never sold, never rented

Your data is neither sold nor rented. It is used to run the service you are using.

  • You stay in control

From your personal space, you can export your data and delete your account.

  • Retention tied to the account

Content attached to your account is kept for as long as the account exists, then deleted when you delete it, subject to legal obligations.

  • Conversational content is handled by technical service providers

Some conversational features rely on technical service providers that process the content of the exchange on our behalf. The list of processors is available in the Privacy Policy.

  • No advertising cookies

Audience measurement sets no advertising cookie and does not track you across other sites. Other first-party cookies may be used, with your consent, for specific measurement or attribution purposes.

  • Your settings stay on your device

Your display and reading preferences are stored in your browser. That applies to those settings, not to the rest of the service.

Share only what is useful.

AtyKids does not need a child's identity in order to help. In your exchanges, leave out anything that adds nothing to the situation you describe:

  • the child's full name
  • an address or contact details
  • health information unrelated to the question asked
  • any identifying data you can do without

This is guidance, not a filter: the system does not automatically remove what you choose to write.

Reading comfort

Accessibility is also interface work.

A reading comfort panel lets you switch between light and dark, change the reading theme, adjust text size, line height and spacing, turn on a typeface suited to dyslexic reading, and reduce animations. The site also follows your system's reduced-motion preference.

We describe what is actually implemented. AtyKids has undergone no external accessibility audit and claims no certification.

Frequently asked

The questions people ask before starting.

Does AtyKids make diagnoses?

No. AtyKids is not a medical device: it makes no diagnosis, runs no screening and produces no risk score. This limit applies to every capability, Experts included.

Can my child use AtyKids alone?

No. The Assistants and the Experts are designed for the adult who supports a child, and are not designed to be used by a child alone. A prepared support or a free Resource tool, on the other hand, can absolutely be used with a child.

Are answers always sourced?

No, and claiming so would be false. Documented public content states its source, its territory and its verification date. In conversation it depends on the question: an administrative procedure calls for official sources, a teaching adaptation calls for none.

Can an AtyKids response be wrong?

Yes. A response can be wrong or miss a decisive detail. Check anything binding (a date, an amount, a deadline, an obligation), open the source when one is offered, and involve a professional when the situation calls for it.

What should I avoid sharing?

Anything that does not help with the situation: the child's full name, an address, health information unrelated to the question. This is guidance, not an automatic filter.

Does AtyKids replace a professional?

No. It can help you understand, prepare for an appointment and look for local support, but it replaces neither a doctor, nor a therapist, nor a teacher, nor an administration.

Is “Rights & procedures” legal advice?

No. That Expert is neither a lawyer nor an administration. It informs and points the way, decides no right, promises no eligibility and never acts in your name.

Who can contact WhatsApp support?

Anyone with a service question: account, sign-in, access, subscription, payment, installation or a technical problem. That channel is customer support; it handles neither educational situations, nor rights questions, nor medical requests, and it is not an emergency service.

Is a professional listed in ATLAS recommended by AtyKids?

No. Being listed is not being recommended. ATLAS is a directory for finding your way, not a quality ranking, and no place can be bought: ordering depends on the type of support and on territorial proximity.

Where do I read the detail about my data?

In the privacy policy: purposes, legal bases, processors, retention periods and how to exercise your rights are all set out there.

Clear limits, so the decision stays yours.

You now know what AtyKids does, what it does not, and who to talk to. The decision is yours.
