AtyKids Expert · Rights & procedures

When a procedure becomes hard to understand.

A letter you read three times. A scheme nobody explains. Steps in no particular order, and the feeling that you are about to forget something important.

This Expert helps you put the information back in order and see what needs checking.

  • Sources you can open
  • Territory taken into account
  • Does not replace a legal professional
  • AtyKids Premium

The real difficulty

The hard part is rarely finding the information. It is knowing what it means for your situation.

Public information exists, and there is a great deal of it. What is missing is the thread: which of it applies to you, in what order, and what you still have to confirm before acting.

  • A document you cannot decode
  • Terms nobody defines
  • Several steps, in no obvious order
  • Information scattered across places
  • Pieces to gather without a clear list
  • An appointment to organize
  • A scheme whose purpose stays unclear

What it helps you do

Five things, and it says when it cannot do them.

  1. Understand

Explain a term, a letter, a scheme or a step in words that actually mean something.

  2. Organize

Put scattered information back into an order you can work from.

  3. Check

Point out what depends on your situation and must be confirmed at the source.

  4. Prepare

Help you assemble what you will need: information, questions, the pieces of a file, an appointment.

  5. See what comes next

Show which checks or steps may follow, as possibilities, never as a verdict.

It works from what you write. There is nothing to upload.

Sources

The source stays the source.

When a question turns on a rule rather than on your organization, the Expert goes and looks, and shows you where it looked, so you can check for yourself.

How an answer is laid out
  1. The source

What the text or the institution says, with the address, so you can open it.

  2. The explanation

What that means, in plain words. This part is AtyKids, and it says so.

  3. To be checked

What still depends on your situation, and who can confirm it.

A schematic of the three registers, not a screenshot.

  • The ones actually used come first

Not every official page found, but those that served to write the answer. Otherwise you cannot trace back what an assertion rests on.

  • Openable, or discarded

Only HTTPS, and only with a usable address. A reference you cannot open is worse than no reference.

  • 5 at most

A wall of links is not proof. A short list you can actually go through is.

  • Nothing is invented

Not a rule, a form, an authority, a deadline or an address. When it could not be confirmed, saying so is the answer.

Territory

Rights depend on where you are.

A French procedure does not transpose to the United States, Canada or Costa Rica. Nor does an American one to France. So the Expert never assumes where you live, and an unknown territory does not quietly fall back on France.

Jurisdictions with an established list of official sources

  • France
  • United States
  • Canada
  • Costa Rica

Elsewhere, the search is not restricted: the Expert still recognizes what comes from a public institution, puts it first, and says plainly what does not.

This list is not the same thing as ATLAS coverage: one restricts where a rule is looked up, the other maps the resources around you.

And a country is not always the right level. Where a rule is provincial or state-level, one province's answer is not the country's answer.

What people bring

Questions it is built for.

  • I don't understand what this letter is asking me to do.
  • Which information should I gather before this appointment?
  • What should I check before sending this file?
  • Which official criteria should I look at to understand whether this scheme could concern my situation?
  • What are the next steps worth looking into?
  • I don't know where to start.

The limits

It helps you understand. It does not decide in your place.

Not a lawyer

No personalized legal advice, and no reading of your case presented as certain.

Not an administration

No decision on entitlement. That belongs to the competent authority.

Not a guarantee

No promise of an outcome, an acceptance or a deadline.

Not a representative

AtyKids never acts, writes or speaks in your name.

It also asks for no sensitive identifier: no social security number, no full administrative reference, no identity document.

And the rest of AtyKids

Four neighbours, four jobs.

  • Camille (Assistant) Prepares and sums up an appointment or a set of information: what to say, what to bring, how to see clearly before going.
  • Rights & procedures Takes the step above, the framework itself: what this scheme is, what this letter means, what to check and where.
  • ATLAS Finds who to turn to: the professionals, organizations and services around you. ATLAS →
  • Glossary and Guides Free. A term to look up, a subject to read about, before a situation needs its own framing. Glossary → Guides →

Same appointment, two different needs: Camille helps you arrive prepared; the Expert helps you understand what is being asked of you and what to confirm beforehand.

And WhatsApp support is customer service: account, access, subscription, technical trouble. It does not answer questions about procedures.

Method

Written down, so you can hold us to it.

What this page describes is not an intention: separating source from explanation, never assuming a jurisdiction, never inventing a rule, saying when something could not be confirmed. The wider frame and its limits are set out in full elsewhere.

FAQ

In plain terms.

What is Rights & procedures for?

For taking a procedure back to the start: making sense of a term or a letter, putting the information into a usable order, spotting what still needs checking, preparing what you will have to gather or ask for, and seeing which steps come next.

Does it replace a lawyer?

No. It gives no legal advice presented as certain, never acts in your name and represents you before no one. When a question calls for a qualified professional (a lawyer, a social worker, a doctor), it says so instead of pretending.

Can it tell me whether I am entitled to something?

No, and that is a limit of the engine rather than a disclaimer: it is forbidden from promising an entitlement, the acceptance of a file, or a timeframe. What it does is help you identify the official criteria to check, and who can confirm them. The decision belongs to the competent authority.

Where does the information come from?

From sources you can open yourself. When a question warrants it, the Expert searches official domains, discards anything not served over HTTPS and anything without a usable address, and shows at most five sources, putting first the ones that actually served to write the answer. AtyKids explains and organizes; the source remains the text or the institution.

What if it cannot find the answer?

It says so. It is forbidden from inventing a rule, a form, an authority, a deadline or an address: “I could not confirm this” is a useful answer, an invented rule is not. It always separates what is established, what is a reasonable assumption, and what still needs official checking.

Why does my territory matter?

Because a procedure does not exist everywhere in the same shape, and a rule stated for the wrong place is not an approximation: it is a false rule. The Expert never assumes where you live. It asks for the jurisdiction when the answer depends on it, and answers straight away when it does not.

How is this different from Camille?

Camille is the everyday assistant for appointments and paperwork: she helps prepare what to say and bring, and to see clearly before going. Rights & procedures takes the step above, the framework itself: what this scheme is, what this letter means, what to check and where.

How is this different from ATLAS?

The Expert helps you understand the procedure; ATLAS helps you find who to turn to near you. One works on the framework, the other on the local support.

Can WhatsApp support answer my rights question?

No. AtyKids WhatsApp support is customer service: account, access, subscription, technical trouble, how the app works. Questions about procedures go to the Expert, inside AtyKids.

Is it included in AtyKids Premium?

Yes, along with the other Expert, the six Assistants, ATLAS and the Studio.
