Frequently asked questions
Everything you might be wondering, made clear.
How it works, your data, the subscription, the framing: the essentials before you start.
What is AtyKids?
A platform designed to help parents of neurodivergent children, and all the adults around them, with everyday situations. The AtyKids Resources are free; AtyKids Premium opens with a subscription, no fixed term: you can cancel at any time and your access stays live until the end of the period you have already paid for.
What makes AtyKids different from a general-purpose tool?
AtyKids is built specifically for the situations adults face when supporting a child. It tells language and territory apart, takes the local framework into account when a rule depends on it, draws on identifiable sources when they are needed, and stays strictly non-medical. The Assistants, the Experts, ATLAS and the Studio each answer a precise need.
Who is it for?
For families of neurodivergent children and everyone around them: teachers, teaching assistants, educators and services.
Is it medical?
No. AtyKids is designed as practical support, made for adults, to prepare, structure and adapt everyday situations. It makes no diagnosis and never replaces a professional.
How does the app work?
You describe a situation, AtyKids identifies the assistant that fits and helps you find a concrete next step. The Atlas points you to resources in your territory, and the Studio lets you create supports from your own need.
What do the assistants do?
Each one covers a moment of daily life: helping to understand a situation, preparing a routine, anticipating a change, suggesting an activity, preparing an appointment or an adaptation for school. Always concrete, in service of the adults, and non-medical.
How do the six assistants fit together?
Each assistant covers a specific need: daily life, transitions, activities, tense moments, appointments and classroom observation. Together they cover the key moments of a neurodivergent child's day, at home, at school and in conversations with the adults around them.
Are my answers confidential?
Yes. AtyKids never sells your data, and you can ask for it to be deleted at any time. See the privacy policy.
How is my data protected?
AtyKids is built around minimization and transparency: we only ask for the information the service needs, and your answers are never sold. You can request deletion of your data at any time.
Can I ask for my data to be deleted?
Yes, at any time. From your personal space you can export your data and delete your account yourself. If you do not have an account, or for any other request about your rights, write to contact@atykids.com. See the privacy policy.
How do I get started with AtyKids?
The Guides and the Glossary are readable in full on the site, with no account. Create a free account to also open the practical tools (visual timer, sound meter, choice wheel, text reader) and carry everything from one device to the next: no subscription or payment card required. The subscription then opens the assistants, the Experts, ATLAS and the Studio. The app installs on phone, tablet and computer, or runs straight from your browser.
Can I use AtyKids for free?
Yes. The AtyKids Resources are free, AtyKids SAFE included. The Guides, the Glossary and AtyKids SAFE do not even ask for an account: they are read straight from the site. The practical tools do ask for a free account. This is not a trial period: there is no card to enter and no end date.
What does AtyKids Premium include?
The six everyday assistants, the AtyKids Experts, ATLAS and the Studio, on top of all the Resources. €29.90 per month or €299 per year, no fixed term: cancel at any time, access stays active until the end of the period already paid for.
What is the difference between the assistants and the Experts?
The six assistants handle everyday situations: a meltdown, a transition, homework, a meeting to prepare. The Experts cover two specialized areas (rights and procedures, home education and learning) when a question calls for going further. They are not extra assistants.
How do renewal and cancellation work?
Your subscription is billed in advance and renews automatically (month to month, or year to year) until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account: renewal stops and your access stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Is it a medical device?
No. AtyKids is not a medical device and makes no diagnosis. It is practical support, designed for the adults who support a neurodivergent child.
Is it a substitute for professionals?
No. Nothing replaces a healthcare professional, a specialized teacher or an institutional decision. The aim is to help adults prepare and structure, not to decide for them.
Is it a promise of results for the child?
No. AtyKids will make no promise about the child's outcomes. The service aims to give adults concrete reference points to approach everyday situations more calmly.
So what is it?
Practical, calm and non-medical support, designed to help adults prepare, structure and adapt daily life, at home and at school.
