What brings you here
The problem is rarely that nothing exists.
It is that nobody tells you what exists near you, in what order to approach it, or what each of those places is actually for. ATLAS starts from the sentence you arrive with.

ATLAS gives you a starting point. It will not tell you which professional to choose: that decision stays yours.
More than a list of addresses
A search engine would give you links. ATLAS gives you a route.
Search by need, not by keyword
Describe a situation (early development, an assessment, school becoming difficult), and ATLAS shows which kinds of services exist for it, in order, and what each one is for.
Real territorial filters
Country, region or state, department or county, town, audience, support format, remote or international only. The territory is a filter, not a guess.
A map you can drill into
Pick a country, open a region, then a department or county. The map is coloured by the actual number of resources held for each area.
Entries that state their origin
Every entry names its official source, the license when there is one, and the date it was retrieved, plus why that resource matched your search.
A search you can carry
Save a resource, mark it to contact, contacted, in progress or done, note the next step and a due date, and compare several side by side.
One ecosystem, not a tab

Covered territories
Four territories, mapped down to the subdivision.
Coverage is territorial, never linguistic: the interface exists in three languages, and that adds no country. Volumes differ enormously from one territory to the next because the official sources differ: a national register of practitioners and a network of provincial services do not produce comparable numbers. What compares honestly is territorial coverage.

Data transparency
A useful map also has to say what it knows.
Where the data comes from
Official public registers and directories, placed on the map. Nothing is invented, and no entry is written by an assistant.
What a date means
An entry shows the date it was retrieved from its source, not a human check, entry by entry. We therefore never write that a resource is “verified”.
Information moves
Conditions, hours and admissions change between two retrievals. Confirm the current situation directly with the organization.
Being listed is not being recommended
ATLAS is a directory for finding your way, not a quality ranking. It certifies neither the quality, nor the availability, nor the specialisms of anyone listed.
No position is for sale
Ranking is deterministic: type of resource, then territorial proximity. No professional pays to appear in ATLAS or to move up in it.
Reporting an error
An error or an inconsistency can be reported to the team by email; reports are handled manually.

What is ATLAS?
A search for the people and places you can turn to. ATLAS gathers professionals, organizations, services and public programs from official public sources, and organizes them by territory and by need. It answers one question: who to approach first.
Which territories are covered?
Four: France, the United States, Canada and Costa Rica. Coverage is territorial, not linguistic: the interface exists in French, English and Spanish, but that adds no country.
Does AtyKids recommend these resources?
No. Being listed in ATLAS does not mean being recommended by AtyKids. ATLAS is a directory for finding your way, not a quality ranking: it certifies neither the quality, nor the availability, nor the specialisms of any organization or professional.
Is the information verified?
No, and we never claim otherwise. Every entry states where the data comes from and the date it was retrieved from that source. That is not a human check, entry by entry. Information can change between two retrievals: confirm current conditions directly with the organization.
How do I report an error?
By email to the team, at the site's contact address. Reports are handled manually.
Can professionals pay to rank higher?
No. No position in ATLAS is for sale. Ranking is deterministic: it depends on the type of resource and on territorial proximity, never on a payment. No professional pays us to appear in ATLAS or to move up in it.
Is ATLAS included in AtyKids Premium?
